Frequently Asked Questions

  • This first visit will include a comprehensive medical history review and intake, discussion of your health concerns and goals, a full body assessment, development of a plan, and initiation of coaching procedures.

  • Comfortable clothes are ideal for allowing a full assessment your movement and mobility without external restrictions. A tank top and shorts provide the best view of your rib cage, arms and legs, but please wear clothing that provides you with the greatest comfort.

  • The initial visit will be 90 minutes to allow time for a comprehensive history intake, a full body evaluation and assessment, and instruction on the principles of breathing and sensory awareness to allow you to start your journey towards relief. Follow-up visits will be 60 or 90 minutes depending on a client’s needs and wishes. These visits will include a re-assessment, a review of material taught, and a progression of the treatment program towards your goals. In-person visits will include hands-on cueing as needed for assisting the patient in sensory awareness, relaxation and activation of muscles.

  • Dr. Amy will work with you to develop a plan that meets your needs, desired involvement and schedule. Some patients prefer more regular feedback whereas others would like a more involved home program. The plan will be tailored to your needs and health status.

  • We take cash payments for all coaching services provided so that we can focus on your individualized needs. This setup allows you to direct your own healthcare and determine when and how often you want to be seen. We do not work with health insurance companies since this is a coaching service.

  • Because this is a self-pay organization, you do not need a referral or prescription from your physician.

  • The PABR® Institute is virtual on Zoom only at this time unless otherwise arranged with Dr. Amy.

  • Penguins symbolize the power to change whatever you wish in life. They are adaptable and resilient, loving and loyal. Dr. Amy had the opportunity to visit the Emperor penguin colony in a very remote location on sea ice near Snow Hill Island, Antarctica in October 2018. After studying and photographing these animals for 30 hours, they became her symbol of renewal, life and the power to change who you are from within.
